XenoPort, Inc. is privately owned and develops drug-delivery technology, engineering compounds to exploit the body's own active transport mechanisms and harnessing the body's intrinsic cellular transport systems to improve the body's drug processing efficiency.

The Manufacturing sector raised the most venture capital this period with 33%. A total of 4 Manufacturing companies raised $130.5 million in venture financings.
