1. Adeza Biomedical had its initial public offering this week for $60 million and trades under the ticker ADZA.
2. Bill Barrett had its initial public offering this week for $1,018 million and trades under the ticker BBG.
3. Community Bancorp had its initial public offering this week for $53 million and trades under the ticker CBON.
4. Foundation Coal Holdings had its initial public offering this week for $519 million and trades under the ticker FCL.
5. Occulogix had its initial public offering this week for $101 million and trades under the ticker RHEO.
6. Symmetry Medical had its initial public offering this week for $120 million and trades under the ticker SMA.
7. CABG Medical had its initial public offering this week for $30 million and trades under the ticker CABG.

The biotechnology sector raised 35% of the venture capital this period. Four biotechnology companies raised $112.6 million in venture financing. The largest private venture financing in the biotechnology sector this period was into Prestwick Pharmaceuticals who raised $37 million. Prestwick Pharmaceuticals is a Washington DC based company engaged in the development and marketing of drugs for diseases of the central nervous system. |
